De Soto Students who plan to continue their education after graduation should consider applying for local scholarships and others which may be listed below.  In order to be considered for local scholarships, students must organize and submit a SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION PACKET which includes:

Scholarship and Award Opportunities

April 2012

The Crawford County Tavern League is offering a $500 scholarship to a high school senior planning to pursue a post-secondary education following graduation.  Eligible students will have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.  Application materials are available in the guidance office.  Application Deadline: April 30, 2012.  

The Vernon County Cooperative Association is offering a $500 scholarship to a high school senior continuing his or her studies at a two or four year institution of higher education.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  Application Deadline: April 15, 2012.

The Pro-Life Wisconsin Education Task Force is offering two $1,000 scholarships in memory of Sharon Schumer.  Application materials are available in the guidance office.  Application Deadline: April 16, 2012.  

The Vernon Area Arts and Crafts Club is offering a $300 scholarship to high school seniors continuing their education in the field of art.  Application materials are available in the guidance office.  Application Deadline: April 20, 2012. 

The Society for Human Resource Management is offering two $400 scholarships to two high school graduates in Jackson, Juneau, Monroe, or Vernon counties who are pursuing higher education in Human Resources or another business field.  Application materials are available in the guidance office.  Application Deadline: April 15, 2012.

Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital is awarding a scholarship of up to $8,000 to seniors who are pursuing a career in a health care occupation.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  Application Deadline: April 12, 2012.

New Horizons Supply Cooperative is offering four $500 scholarships.  Parents/Guardians must currently be a customer of New Horizons Supply Cooperative.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  Application Deadline: April 15, 2012.

Western Technical College is offering various scholarships to students who plan to attend WTC in 2012-2013.  Additional information and application are available online at www.westerntc.edu/scholarships.  If you plan to attend WTC next year, you should check this out!

The UW-Platteville Community Scholarship Program is offering two $200 scholarships to two De Soto High School seniors planning to attend their college in the fall of 2012.  If you are planning to attend at UW-P, you should apply for this scholarship!!  Additional information, including the application, is available online at www.uwplatt.edu/foundation/csp/index.html
