Recycling Week!

Thursday, April 16th Art Challenge

Earth Day is April 22nd! Having art class at home is a great time to find different materials to use for projects to reduce, reuse and recycle. Today we are going to learn how to turn egg cartons, toilet paper tubes, newspapers, magazines and junk mail into flowers. You can also use paint and/or markers to add a little color.

Challenge: Make a recycled flower.

While you are at home you can still share your artwork with Mrs. Buchner! Here's a quick and easy way to do it:

  • Ask Mom or Dad to take a picture with their phone.

  • Text the picture to Email 1 or Email 2. Yes, you can text to an e-mail. (Of course you can also e-mail it). I will be sharing art from kids on my web site.
