Famous Artists Week! Thursday, April 8 Art Challenge

Your challenge today is yummy! We are going to learn about Wayne Thiebaud, an artist who is well known for painting every day objects, such as cake! Mrs. Buchner has a directed drawing for you where we draw a 2-layer cake with a piece taken out of it. You can also watch the short video below that shows you some of Wayne Thiebaud's art.

Challenge: Make a 3-D cake drawing the style of Wayne Thiebaud.

While you are at home you can still share your artwork with Mrs. Buchner! Here's a quick and easy way to do it:

• Ask Mom or Dad to take a picture with their phone.

• Text the picture to Email 1 or Email 2. Yes, you can text to an e-mail. (Of course you can also e-mail it). I will be sharing art from kids on my web site.
