March 19 Art Challenge
Your challenge today is to trace your hand, divide it into sections and fill it with random patterns. These patterns are sometimes referred to as Zentangles and are one of Mrs. Buchner's favorite things to do. This is also called meditative doodling. You can watch this YouTube video to learn more about it. 5th graders: after you do you patterns practice shading the edges with a pencil to create depth like we were doing with our gems at school. While you are at home you can still share your artwork with Mrs. Buchner! Here's a quick and easy way to do it:
Ask Mom or Dad to take a picture with their phone.
Text the picture to Email Mrs. Buchner. Yes, you can text to an e-mail. (Of course you can also e-mail it). I will be sharing art from kids in upcoming videos.
