Friday, May 8th Art Challenge

All of our elementary students received chalk art at the last delivery/pick-up. Mr. Gaylor & Mrs. Buchner challenge you to create chalk art and WIN! Rules: all drawings must have a heart in them somewhere! Photos must be e-mailed by Friday, May 15th. Prizes for Biggest, Most Creative, Most hearts (you count) and Judge's Choice. E-mail a photo of your entry to Email E. Buchner or Email K. Gaylor.

Challenge: Make chalk art outside.

Chalk Paint Recipe

1 Cup Water 1 Cup Cornstarch Food coloring

Make sure you stir frequently as the cornstarch will settle to the bottom.

Pro Tip

Take a bucket of water outside and a big paintbrush. Chalk can be blended with water on a wet paintbrush to make it look smooth or blend colors.

While you are at home you can still share your artwork with Mrs. Buchner! Here's a quick and easy way to do it:

• Ask Mom or Dad to take a picture with their phone.

• Text the picture to Email 1 or Email 2. Yes, you can text to an e-mail. (Of course you can also e-mail it). I will be sharing art from kids on my web site.
