Hello, my name is Mrs. Sowle and I am originally from DeSoto. I graduated from DeSoto in 2001 and went on to earn my bachelor's in early childhood education. Prior to coming to the DeSoto School District, I taught 4K/Kindergarten, early childhood, fourth grade, and worked in Birth to Three. 

I currently live in Viroqua with my husband, Dominic, and our three children, Jordan, Madison, and Elijah. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and thrifting. 

What excites me the most about working for the DeSoto School District is that I get be back in the elementary school I attended. I have many fond memories of my time at Prairie View and can't wait to make more with my students!

I’m married to my best friend, Derek, and we have five kids — Ava, 18, Charlie, 16, Grady, 14, Emmie, 11, and Tate, 7. Life with five kids is always busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. They keep me busy, keep me laughing, and are my biggest accomplishment.

This is my second year as a paraprofessional at Prairie View Elementary, and I really love what I do. I especially enjoy working with the preschoolers. They are so much fun, and I love watching them learn, grow, and become more independent. They definitely keep me on my toes, but they make me smile and laugh every day!

When I’m not at school, I’m usually busy being a mom and cheering my kids on. I love watching Ava cheer at football games, Charlie, Grady, and Tate ride their dirt bikes, and Emmie at all of her sports. We also love spending time together fishing and tubing on the river.
