Prairie View Elementary

3rd grade at Prairie View had a fantastic time exploring several tent caterpillar nests. They got to hold the tent caterpillars and observe how they move. After watching them, the class decided to see if they could survive in the classroom as pets. They designed three different environments for the tent caterpillars to live in, and made predictions about which group would live the longest. At the end, they split into groups to make posters that included observations, questions, and predictions about tent caterpillars.
