Professional Background

De Soto Area School District Special Education Director (2024–Present) MS/HS Special Education and Social Studies Teacher (2018–2024) Assistant Varsity Football Coach (2010–Present) Head Varsity Track and Field Coach (2018–2021, 2025–Present)

In my current role as Special Education Director, I have the privilege of working with an amazing team to support the academic and personal growth of all students. Before transitioning to this leadership role, I spent several years as a teacher, both in special education and social studies, which gave me a deep understanding of the challenges students face. I’ve also had the pleasure of coaching our varsity football and track and field teams, where I’ve built strong relationships with students both in and out of the classroom.

University of New South Wales Global, Sydney Assessment Project Officer (2018)

In 2018, I had the incredible opportunity to work with the University of New South Wales in Sydney, where I contributed to an assessment project. This experience expanded my perspective on educational assessment practices on a global scale, and I’m proud to have gained insights that I’ve been able to bring back to my work here.

Kee High School HS Social Studies/Special Education Teacher (2011–2017) Alternative School Coordinator (2011–2017) Athletic/Activities Director (2011–2017) Varsity Boys Track Coach (2011–2017)

Before joining De Soto, I spent six years at Kee High School, where I wore many hats. I taught both social studies and special education, which allowed me to connect with a wide range of students. I also served as the Alternative School Coordinator, providing a different path for students who needed extra support. As the Athletic/Activities Director, I helped foster a well-rounded school experience, and coaching the Varsity Boys Track team was one of the most rewarding parts of my career.

Throughout my career, I’ve remained dedicated to creating an environment where every student feels valued and supported. I’m proud to be part of the De Soto community and look forward to continuing to work with students, staff, and families to help everyone reach their full potential.
