Head Coach

Eric Koch

Eric Koch is a 1999 De Soto graduate where he played 4 years of football, 1 year of basketball, and 4 years of baseball. This is his first year as Head Coach and he has been Assistant Coach the last 2 years for the Lady Pirate’s Softball team. He was fortune to coach some of these ladies during his 11 years as coach for the De Soto Summer Youth Softball League. He also coached Middle School Girls and Boys Basketball for 3 years. Besides being the softball coach, he has volunteer coached for the Summer Girls Basketball and Softball teams. He enjoys working with and supporting these athletes so they can achieve their goals. He says there is nothing more exciting than seeing them smile and having fun while doing the work to be successful. It’s all about the kids. Eric is married to Erica; they have 3 children Emilee and Evan both graduates of De Soto and Ella who will graduate in 2026, they reside in De Soto.

Scott DuCharme

I was born and raised in Seneca and although I grew up wearing blue & white, I now proudly bleed maroon & gold. I graduated from Viterbo University in 2001 with a business degree. My wife Kristin and I moved to De Soto in Dec of 2004 and have been married for 20 years.  We have 2 girls, Taylor, class of '27 and Emma class of '29. I am in my 7th year working at Trane in La Crosse. I am excited about being the assistant softball coach and love working with players and pushing them to be the best players and students possible.
