All students entering 6th grade through 12th grade who plan to participate in athletics must complete the Athletic Registration Form before they will be allowed to participate in sports.

Summer School Fun: The upper grades completed a team-building activity that involved challenging students to build the tallest tower possible using only a limited number of straws, index cards, and tape within 40 minutes with a partner. This activity encouraged students to work collaboratively by sharing ideas, developing a strategy, and adjusting their plans when challenges arose. Students quickly learned that effective communication and cooperation are just as important as having creativity and engineering skills! Throughout the activity, students practiced problem-solving, compromise, and perseverance as they tested different designs and supported one another’s ideas. Each group was left with a standing tower at the end of 40 minutes, with measurements from 7 inches to 18 inches in height! Fun for all!

🏴‍☠️ State Track Success! Congratulations to our Girls 4x200 Relay team on their 6th-place podium finish at the WIAA State Track & Field Championships! A special congratulations to Paisley Egge on her outstanding 2nd-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles and earning State Runner-Up honors! We are proud of all of our Pirate athletes for representing De Soto so well on the state stage.
