Each week, we're featuring a staff member to help you get to know the amazing people who make De Soto High School such a special place. This week is Mitchell Hanson, High School Social Studies and Special Education Teacher.
🏴☠️ He is in his second year of teaching here at De Soto.
🏴☠️ He is originally from Viroqua, which is where he went to high school.
🏴☠️ His father, Layne, is now retired from teaching at the middle school level, and his mother, Janette, also works in education.
🏴☠️ In his free time he likes to exercise, paint, play video games, watch movies, and watch football.
🏴☠️ A fun fact about him, is that he has never had a cup of coffee in his entire life.
🏴☠️When asked what excites him most about De Soto, Mitchell says, "What excites me about De Soto is the tight-knit community in the staff and students that are here."

We would like to thank Mid-City Steel, LLC. of La Crosse for hooking us up with some metal plates for the Metals 2 & 3 classes. Welding and Fabrication skills are important in industry and being able to utilize thicker steel to practice and learn with is greatly appreciated.

📸📘 Shoutout to Our Yearbook Sponsors!
