She began teaching at Hamilton Elementary and Central High School for 3 years and then transferred to Summit Elementary and Northside Coulee Montessori until she came to DeSoto.
🏴☠️ She has lived in Retreat with her husband and two large fur babies, Tugg, an English Mastiff and Ripp, a Great Dane since 1999.
🏴☠️She enjoys spending time at home and with friends and family. She loves traveling and seeing new places, people and experiences whenever she can.
🏴☠️ She finds time to work on art projects and collect art from all her travels.
🏴☠️When asked what excites her most about De Soto, Carissa says I am excited to be a part of the DeSoto community to create meaningful relationships and experiences. I want to share my love for the arts and travel with my students and prepare them for the future.

Each week, we're featuring a staff member to help you get to know the amazing people who make De Soto High School such a special place. This week is Jordan Lietz, Physical Education, Health Education, and Adapted Physical Education teacher at Middle & High School and Assistant football coach.
🏴☠️ He is in his second year of teaching here at the middle/high school
🏴☠️ He is originally from Edgerton WI, a small town just south of Madison.
🏴☠️He currently has no family of my own but is the youngest of three siblings. He has a sister and a brother. Both of his parents were teachers and his sister is in her 5th year of teaching. His brother lives out in California as a project manager.
🏴☠️ When he's not in school he really enjoy being active and getting exercise. Additionally, hunting, fishing, and taking trips to his family cabin are also some of his favorite hobbies.
🏴☠️ A fun fact about him, he used to sport long hair and a mullet in his college days.
🏴☠️When asked what excites him most about De Soto, Jordan says the thing that excites me the most about being at De Soto is the comradery that comes with being a part of this staff. Everyone has been very welcoming and it makes it very fun to come to work every day.
