Our second graders have enjoyed partnering with the De Soto Public Library for a pen pal program! Each month, students write and receive letters from their pen pals, building friendships and practicing their writing skills. This fun experience brings smiles to our students and helps connect our school with the community. Thank you pen pals!!

Child Development Day at Stoddard.

Due to the weather tonight's Boys Varsity Basketball game against Weston has been cancelled!
Shout-out to our AMAZING teachers who always find creative and fun ways to learn! ☕️📚 Our Stoddard 1st graders earned a Starbucks party today—no worries, no coffee involved! They enjoyed refreshers with muffins and cake pops, practiced counting by tens and ones using dimes and pennies with “Starbucks orders,” and even designed their own brand-new coffee cups. Learning has never been sweeter!

Each week, we're featuring a staff member to help you get to know the amazing people who make De Soto school district such a special place.
This week is Jackie Kreuzer, our Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent.
🏴☠️ This will be Jackie's 12 years of being apart of our district in May.
🏴☠️ She is originally from Here! She grew up in Stoddard, attended Stoddard Elementary and graduated from De Soto High School in 1986.
🏴☠️Jackie is married and has 2 daughters who both graduated from De Soto. Kassidy is a surgical tech at Vernon Health in Viroqua and Kenzy is finishing her education at UW-Superior in Environmental Science & Biology. She has 3 dogs and 2 cats that keep her and her husband busy in their"empty" nest.
🏴☠️She enjoys gardening and canning what they grow, she loves to read and play with their dogs.
🏴☠️ A fun fact about her is a lot of people don't know that she use to drive demo derby cars at the Vernon County Fair. She was the first girl to drive "not" in the Powder Puff division :)
🏴☠️When asked what excites her most about De Soto Jackie says, "I love being a part of the school district I grew up in. I feel it is very important to give back and be part of the solution. In the District Office I don't see students everyday, but I try to make a point to travel the hallways during passing time as often as I can to say hi to the kids and ask how they are doing. I try to congratulate them on successes I hear about so they know people are interested in their lives. I also get to help in the kitchen once in a while and it is awesome to see their smiling faces!!"
